When Things Go Wrong…

October 3rd, 2024 by under Business - General, Business Strategy. No Comments.

In business – and in life – unexpected things happen.

Some are small, minor inconveniences.

Others are major life and business interrupters.

Some things you control and most things you don’t.

You do control whether you react or respond to things when they happen.

When you react, it’s usually with emotion. It’s like putting the wrong chemicals together in the lab and an explosion happens instead of what was supposed to happen.

Many times, when we react, we feel bad or regret things we did or said later.

Responding means taking a breath and waiting until you’re calmer and more levelheaded to do or say what you want. Sometimes, that only takes a few seconds, and others it might take longer – maybe even a day or so.

Whether you react or respond, it’s usually done from a place of trying to help.

Sometimes we do this with information. In an effort to get a message out or to help those we think might be in need, we post something or start to talk about something as if it’s fact before taking the time to check it out to see if it’s real.

A lot of people run their entire business the same way…

Reacting to everything that happens.

Never having a plan… just throwing mud on the wall… hoping something sticks.

There’s a better way.

Most are to set in their ways to even consider it, but if you are open minded to a new way of doing business in 2025, I’m hosting my annual fall event, December 3-5, 2024. It’s virtual and will go from 9:00am – 1:00pm Eastern time each day. It will mostly be about showing you a simple system for developing your marketing plan and discovering easy steps to implement your plan.

It’s only $97 to attend – and that’s going up very soon!
