It’s no wonder “Switch” by Chip Heath & Dan Heath was a #1 New York Times Bestseller! This was an amazing book on how to get the parts of your mind working together, in unison, to assist you in your life and your business.
“Switch” is a book whose principals are applicable to you whether you’re a parent, a student, an business owner, and employee, or anybody in between. Some parts of the book were logical enough but brought to my attention things I don’t often think about.
For example, one of the statements that was made in the book that sticks with me is that the heart and the mind sometimes disagree and that’s one of the things that creates challenges for us. Another one, that again seems logical when you read it, but is not only true, but profound, is for anything to change, someone has to start acting differently. I really like this one too, some is not a number and soon is not a time!
I could go on and on but I won’t. If you read the book, you’ll be filled up with a lot of things to think about.
The real point of “Switch” is really about change and the fact that it doesn’t have to be so hard, or so tiring. And, one of the things I love so much about the book is that not only is it written with a lot of stories and real life examples, but it gives you practical ways to go about affecting your own change – whether you want to change the world or just yourself.
Another big message of “Switch” is that knowing is not enough to change things – it takes more than that…a lot more sometimes. One of the other things it takes it both parts of your mind working together, in harmony.
To me, this was another great book, that you should read, but only you can decide. If you do, I’d love to hear what you think….
