“The Laws of Lifetime Growth” by Dan Sullivan and Catherine Nomura of Strategic Coach is another small, quickly read book packed with just a ton of great information that can be very impactful in your life.
There are so many great nuggets in this book there is no way to cover them all in this book review, let alone all 12 of “The Laws of Lifetime Growth.” I would tell you to just go get this book and read it, make it something you live your life by and you will see amazing changes.
One of the first points that is made in the book is that growth is a fundamental desire of all human beings and that growth is really the root of everything that gives us a feeling of accomplishment, satisfaction, meaning and progress. How very true.
When I was in college, I had a quote on my wall that said “when you stop learning you die,” and I think you could just as easily substitute the word growing for learning and the statement is just as true – if not more so.
I also was really moved by the point that was made that everything looks and feels like a failure when you’re in the middle of it. How many times have we all felt those growing pains?
In fact, failure is a part of growth – something all successful entrepreneurs know very well.
You will continue to grow as long as you make your future bigger than your past, your gratitude greater than your success, and your contribution bigger than the reward. Those are only 3 of the 12 laws that are discussed in the book, and all 12 of them are as moving and as thought-provoking.
Growth isn’t always easy but its rewards are always great. And, when you make growth a central theme and goal in your life, then your life will be full of opportunity.
So much of our lives are about our choices, and I for one am glad I get to choose every single day to grow and to look for ways to make my life and the lives of those around me better.
My recommendation is to read this little book by Dan Sullivan and Catherine Nomura and apply all the laws and then come on back and let me know what you think and how you’re growing.
