Special Days…

When I looked at the date this morning, it made me smile… BIG!
Today’s a special day!
Special because it’s my someone special’s birthday! Truly a day to celebrate!
As I started to think about it, I realized every day is somebody’s special day. Every day is somebody’s birthday.
And every day is a day to celebrate… no matter what.
We all know this on some level and it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day of life and business and to forget all we have to be grateful for.
As a business owner, days can be challenging with the stresses owning and running a business bring. And there’s always something to celebrate and to be grateful for.
At the end of each business day, I open my journal and write down 1-3 things I accomplished that day. And just before I go to bed each night, I open another journal and write for 15-30 minutes and the last thing I write is at least 3-5 things I’m grateful for.
It’s my way of celebrating a little bit each and every day. (And, yes, some days are harder than others to find those things… but you can always find a few things – even if it’s the pen you’re writing with, the fact that you’re breathing, or your someone special).
So today, I’m celebrating you – my client, my friend, my business associate, somebody who’s made a difference in my life, and I hope I’ve touched your life in some way as well.
And I’m celebrating my love, my heart, the person who means the most to me. Happy Birthday!
