Stop Waiting For The Storm To Pass

I love quotes…
I saw one the other day that I saved and haven’t stopped thinking about.
It said…
“Life isn’t about waiting for the Storm to Pass…
It’s about learning to Dance in the Rain!”
How many times have you found yourself waiting for something before you take the next step?
We’ve all done it…
When I make X amount of money, then I’ll…
When I lose the weight, I’ll take that vacation…
The economy won’t support that right now…
It’s an election year, it’s not the right time…
What if, instead of hesitating and making excuses (you call them reasons), you just took action… did the thing you were hesitating to do?
What’s the worst that could happen?
So what if things don’t turn out exactly like you wanted them to or planned.
Doing something is always better than doing nothing!
Think about how much further ahead you would be than if you do nothing.
Find the joy in everything you do – even the challenging times.
By the way, everyone has challenges. You may or may not see them or know about them but they’re there.
As business owners and entrepreneurs, we aren’t exempt from all the things life throws our way just because we’re running a business.
There will still be money challenges, health issues, loved ones will pass away, and the list goes on and on.
If you don’t find a way to dance in the rain, you’re going to find yourself stuck and not moving forward because you kept waiting for something to get better or the exact right time.
I’m not talking about taking some time off to deal with things or to grieve or heal. Do what you need to do, take the time you need, and then get back in the race. Keep putting one foot in front of the other.
And… try to find a way to have some fun while you’re dancing in the rain!
The rain is going to come. Will you stay home and meekly look out the window at it wishing it were different, will you get your umbrella and venture out in it, or will you run out and dance in the rain unencumbered?
Let me know if I can help!
