Who’s Running Your Business While You’re Busy Working?

There’s a lot to do in any business, and in a small business it’s easy to get a bit overwhelmed with things and begin to do too much of the work ourselves. It’s even easier to start to say things to yourself like “it’s faster for me to do this myself than to show somebody else how to do this,” or “nobody else can do this as well as I can,” or “I don’t have time to train anybody right now,” or even “I’ve tried to have people do things for me before and it never works out.”
Have you ever said any of those things or thought them?
Well, one of the reasons this happens is because you either have the wrong people working with you, or you have too many people and it becomes disjointed with no flow or clarity.
I see this so often, and it simply doesn’t have to be this way.
With online businesses, there is a lot of talk about Virtual Assistants and Online Business Managers, and depending on what you need and how you work best these can be great solutions for you.
Another option that works well is to have a project manager. Imagine what it would be like if you had only one person who was reporting to you and who was coordinating everything for you so all you had to do was concentrate on growing your business and working in your areas of brilliance or unique ability. What I’m talking about is using a project manager – somebody who will take all that coordinating off your back and make sure it all gets done on time and the way it should.
By the way, you don’t have to have a big team to do this either – it might be just you and your project manager, it might be you with a big team that has a project coordinator, or it might be something in between.
A project manager will work for you whether they’re virtual or onsite too, and whether you need somebody full-time or part-time.
